Narrative:

Approaching into ZZZ we made the appropriate radio calls into the airport. The winds were favoring an approach into runway xx. So we entered a left base approximately 4 nm out and made all the necessary radio calls. No one else had reported being in the vicinity of the airport or taxiing around the airport. The day was hot and upon approach I the sic (second in command) was looking for any traffic in the area and on the ground. On a 1 mile final it looked like there was a mirage perpendicular to the runway. Upon touching down on the runway I asked the PIC (pilot in command) if that was in fact a mirage or an airplane approaching us. We both determined that it in fact it was an aircraft approaching us. The PIC put full reverse thrust on the blade and pulled the aircraft off to the left hand side of the runway so that the stearman could see us. At no time did the other aircraft give any position reports in the pattern or in the airport environment.
