Narrative:
I was ferrying an small aircraft X from statesboro, GA to sav. I landed on runway 18 and contacted ground control after clearing the runway. I received permission to taxi to my destination, which was an FBO on the south ramp. To reach the FBO one must taxi by the airline ramp. At this time 2 jets, an air carrier medium large transport Y and an air carrier large transport Z were at the ramp. The medium large transport Y had pushed back from the gate and had started its engines. I was reluctant to taxi behind the medium large transport Y because of the jet blast. The ground controller also brought this factor to my attention and advised me to exercise extreme caution. I then contacted the ground controller and requested permission to taxi in front of medium large transport Y and large transport Z. The controller replied that we had no jurisdiction over the airline ramp area. I then proceeded to taxi in front of medium large transport Y and large transport Z west/O an incident. Upon reaching the FBO ramp, I was informed that the tower supervisor wanted to speak to me. He informed me that the air carrier was very upset that I had invaded their ramp space and he asked me for my name and pilot certificate #. I gave him the information he sought and informed him that it was my first time flying into an airport where heavy jets and light GA aircraft are located in close proximity on the ramp. I then talked to the air carrier manager, who was aware of the incident. He was very friendly, and he told me that it was not a good idea to taxi on an airline's ramp area. He also explained the reasons why he also told me that it was someone from the other air carrier that had called the tower to complain. I then talked to the manager of that air carrier. He had no knowledge of the incident. He then sent me to the line chief at the FBO, who also had not complained. I then called back the tower supervisor and told him that I talked to all parties involved. He informed me that this matter would probably not be pursued any further. I apologized for any inconvenience that I might have caused, and he told me 'my guy could have been a little more helpful.' I told him that this was a learning experience and that I'd never intrude on another airline ramp again. In retrospect, I feel that this situation was caused by 2 factors: the first factor involved my inexperience in flying into an airport where heavy jets and light aircraft are located in such close proximity to one another on the ramp. Before this experience never had to taxi around or near a large jet. The second factor that led to this situation was poor communication between myself and the ground controller. He told me he had no jurisdiction over the ramp area, and at the time I didn't think I was doing anything wrong by taxiing through (I now know otherwise!!). Looking back on the situation, the ground controller could have been a little more helpful by advising me not to taxi through the airline ramp area.

Title: INEXPERIENCED GA PLT TAXIS ON ACR RAMP AND RAISES THE IRE OF GND CTLR AND ACR PERSONNEL.
Narrative: I WAS FERRYING AN SMA X FROM STATESBORO, GA TO SAV. I LANDED ON RWY 18 AND CONTACTED GND CTL AFTER CLRING THE RWY. I RECEIVED PERMISSION TO TAXI TO MY DEST, WHICH WAS AN FBO ON THE S RAMP. TO REACH THE FBO ONE MUST TAXI BY THE AIRLINE RAMP. AT THIS TIME 2 JETS, AN ACR MLG Y AND AN ACR LGT Z WERE AT THE RAMP. THE MLG Y HAD PUSHED BACK FROM THE GATE AND HAD STARTED ITS ENGS. I WAS RELUCTANT TO TAXI BEHIND THE MLG Y BECAUSE OF THE JET BLAST. THE GND CTLR ALSO BROUGHT THIS FACTOR TO MY ATTN AND ADVISED ME TO EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION. I THEN CONTACTED THE GND CTLR AND REQUESTED PERMISSION TO TAXI IN FRONT OF MLG Y AND LGT Z. THE CTLR REPLIED THAT WE HAD NO JURISDICTION OVER THE AIRLINE RAMP AREA. I THEN PROCEEDED TO TAXI IN FRONT OF MLG Y AND LGT Z W/O AN INCIDENT. UPON REACHING THE FBO RAMP, I WAS INFORMED THAT THE TWR SUPVR WANTED TO SPEAK TO ME. HE INFORMED ME THAT THE ACR WAS VERY UPSET THAT I HAD INVADED THEIR RAMP SPACE AND HE ASKED ME FOR MY NAME AND PLT CERTIFICATE #. I GAVE HIM THE INFO HE SOUGHT AND INFORMED HIM THAT IT WAS MY FIRST TIME FLYING INTO AN ARPT WHERE HVY JETS AND LIGHT GA ACFT ARE LOCATED IN CLOSE PROX ON THE RAMP. I THEN TALKED TO THE ACR MGR, WHO WAS AWARE OF THE INCIDENT. HE WAS VERY FRIENDLY, AND HE TOLD ME THAT IT WAS NOT A GOOD IDEA TO TAXI ON AN AIRLINE'S RAMP AREA. HE ALSO EXPLAINED THE REASONS WHY HE ALSO TOLD ME THAT IT WAS SOMEONE FROM THE OTHER ACR THAT HAD CALLED THE TWR TO COMPLAIN. I THEN TALKED TO THE MGR OF THAT ACR. HE HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THE INCIDENT. HE THEN SENT ME TO THE LINE CHIEF AT THE FBO, WHO ALSO HAD NOT COMPLAINED. I THEN CALLED BACK THE TWR SUPVR AND TOLD HIM THAT I TALKED TO ALL PARTIES INVOLVED. IN RETROSPECT, I FEEL THAT THIS SITUATION WAS CAUSED BY 2 FACTORS: THE FIRST FACTOR INVOLVED MY INEXPERIENCE IN FLYING INTO AN ARPT WHERE HVY JETS AND LIGHT ACFT ARE LOCATED IN SUCH CLOSE PROX TO ONE ANOTHER ON THE RAMP. BEFORE THIS EXPERIENCE NEVER HAD TO TAXI AROUND OR NEAR A LARGE JET. THE SECOND FACTOR THAT LED TO THIS SITUATION WAS POOR COM BTWN MYSELF AND THE GND CTLR. HE TOLD ME HE HAD NO JURISDICTION OVER THE RAMP AREA, AND AT THE TIME I DIDN'T THINK I WAS DOING ANYTHING WRONG BY TAXIING THROUGH (I NOW KNOW OTHERWISE!!). LOOKING BACK ON THE SITUATION, THE GND CTLR COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE MORE HELPFUL BY ADVISING ME NOT TO TAXI THROUGH THE AIRLINE RAMP AREA.
