Narrative:

Air carrier large transport X on a visibility approach to runway 14 at NAS, 4 1/2 mi behind an air carrier large transport Y, also landing on runway 14. Approach had slowed us up to 210 KTS to line everyone up. An atx small transport X checked in and was radar idented about 4 mi from shoreline. At 1 point he was told to follow an air carrier large transport X, company colors for runway 14. Small transport Z reported air carrier large transport X in sight, and was told to follow large transport X. We were all sent to NAS tower control. First officer was flying the aircraft. The large transport Y was just touching down on runway 14 and we were approaching pogey intersection (about 3 mi from end of runway). We were in a landing confign. At about 1100' MSL captain reported he had the small transport Z because of traffic. At that point I gave the aircraft up. I looked to my left and saw the small transport Z close to us and closing. I believe that small transport Z never saw us. The descent was stopped at about 70' and too far to the right of runway 14 to make a stable safe landing to that runway. Plus our airspace had increased, and the large transport Y was just clearing when captain advised me to tell NAS tower that we were executing a missed approach and go around. I don't believe small transport Z saw us at all; maybe he mistook large transport Y for large transport X.

Title: NMAC BETWEEN ACR LGT X AND ATX SMT Z AT NAS.

Narrative: ACR LGT X ON A VIS APCH TO RWY 14 AT NAS, 4 1/2 MI BEHIND AN ACR LGT Y, ALSO LNDG ON RWY 14. APCH HAD SLOWED US UP TO 210 KTS TO LINE EVERYONE UP. AN ATX SMT X CHKED IN AND WAS RADAR IDENTED ABOUT 4 MI FROM SHORELINE. AT 1 POINT HE WAS TOLD TO FOLLOW AN ACR LGT X, COMPANY COLORS FOR RWY 14. SMT Z RPTED ACR LGT X IN SIGHT, AND WAS TOLD TO FOLLOW LGT X. WE WERE ALL SENT TO NAS TWR CTL. F/O WAS FLYING THE ACFT. THE LGT Y WAS JUST TOUCHING DOWN ON RWY 14 AND WE WERE APCHING POGEY INTXN (ABOUT 3 MI FROM END OF RWY). WE WERE IN A LNDG CONFIGN. AT ABOUT 1100' MSL CAPT RPTED HE HAD THE SMT Z BECAUSE OF TFC. AT THAT POINT I GAVE THE ACFT UP. I LOOKED TO MY LEFT AND SAW THE SMT Z CLOSE TO US AND CLOSING. I BELIEVE THAT SMT Z NEVER SAW US. THE DSNT WAS STOPPED AT ABOUT 70' AND TOO FAR TO THE RIGHT OF RWY 14 TO MAKE A STABLE SAFE LNDG TO THAT RWY. PLUS OUR AIRSPACE HAD INCREASED, AND THE LGT Y WAS JUST CLRING WHEN CAPT ADVISED ME TO TELL NAS TWR THAT WE WERE EXECUTING A MISSED APCH AND GAR. I DON'T BELIEVE SMT Z SAW US AT ALL; MAYBE HE MISTOOK LGT Y FOR LGT X.
