Narrative:
During normal preflight fuel was sumped with no issues and oil was checked. Start; taxi and pre-takeoff checks were nominal. While taking off aircraft began running very rough and losing power around 300 feet AGL. Confirmed fuel pump was on; mixture was rich and switched tanks with no improvement. Applied carburetor heat with no improvement. Oil pressure was ok. Was able to maintain altitude initially and attempted an abbreviated pattern. Engine performance continued to deteriorate. [Advised other aircraft of my situation] over unicom. Landed on taxiway with no damage or injury.
