Narrative:
The problem arose when controller tower told me to taxi into position and hold while another plane was taxiing clear of the runway 29L at fat. I taxied into position and hold. Meanwhile, tower cleared to land a tanker on right downwind leg for the left, since the right runway was closed. I held for a few mins, then I heard a pilot on radio saying, 'traffic on the runway.' at this time tower told him to go around. I looked back and saw the tanker right behind me almost to touch down, and passed above and to my left so close that I thought I would get hit. At that time tower came back saying, 'small aircraft, I said you're clear for takeoff.' I responded, 'negative, you told me into position and hold.' at that time tower cleared me for takeoff. I really do not know what had happened. Everything happened so fast I had no time to do anything. Maybe the controller got busy or forgot about me. Thanks to the pilot flying the tanker that saw me out the last min, no accident occurred, and his quick reaction sure helped the problem.

Title: PLT OF ATX CARGO SMA IS TOLD TO TAXI INTO POSITION AND HOLD AT FAT, BUT IS NOT CLEARED FOR TKOF BEFORE A TANKER ACFT ALMOST LANDS WITH REPORTER'S ACFT ON THE RWY.
Narrative: THE PROB AROSE WHEN CTLR TWR TOLD ME TO TAXI INTO POS AND HOLD WHILE ANOTHER PLANE WAS TAXIING CLR OF THE RWY 29L AT FAT. I TAXIED INTO POS AND HOLD. MEANWHILE, TWR CLRED TO LAND A TANKER ON RIGHT DOWNWIND LEG FOR THE LEFT, SINCE THE RIGHT RWY WAS CLOSED. I HELD FOR A FEW MINS, THEN I HEARD A PLT ON RADIO SAYING, 'TFC ON THE RWY.' AT THIS TIME TWR TOLD HIM TO GO AROUND. I LOOKED BACK AND SAW THE TANKER RIGHT BEHIND ME ALMOST TO TOUCH DOWN, AND PASSED ABOVE AND TO MY LEFT SO CLOSE THAT I THOUGHT I WOULD GET HIT. AT THAT TIME TWR CAME BACK SAYING, 'SMA, I SAID YOU'RE CLR FOR TKOF.' I RESPONDED, 'NEGATIVE, YOU TOLD ME INTO POS AND HOLD.' AT THAT TIME TWR CLRED ME FOR TKOF. I REALLY DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAD HAPPENED. EVERYTHING HAPPENED SO FAST I HAD NO TIME TO DO ANYTHING. MAYBE THE CTLR GOT BUSY OR FORGOT ABOUT ME. THANKS TO THE PLT FLYING THE TANKER THAT SAW ME OUT THE LAST MIN, NO ACCIDENT OCCURRED, AND HIS QUICK REACTION SURE HELPED THE PROB.
