Narrative:
Tower gave us a heading of 320 degrees after takeoff. We read back 320 degree heading to tower and started takeoff. After airborne we contacted dtw departure and told them we were climbing through 2000' MSL and turning to a 320 degree heading. After 1 min departure asked us what our heading was. We told them 320 degrees. He then asked us to make an immediate left turn to 230 degrees.
