Narrative:

Starting prior to top-of-descent; we thoroughly briefed the RNAV (rnp) Z approach to runway 35R at den using the approach briefing guide and the pocket briefing card. Due in part to distractions associated with finishing the briefing; being cleared lower; and complying with ATC issued speed restrictions on the ANCHR4 RNAV arrival; we failed to verify that the sequence of waypoints on the legs page corresponded to the approach transition to runway 35R beginning at doggg. Upon arrival at doggg with the ap engaged; the aircraft continued straight ahead on the remainder of the ANCHR4 RNAV arrival instead of initiating a turn on the RF leg to final. At about the same time I disengaged the ap to initiate the turn on to the RF leg; ATC queried if we were in the turn and showed us 1 mile south of course. Although we should have completely abandoned the RNAV approach and requested a visual approach from ATC; I hand-flew the magenta RF leg on the nd as the pm tried unsuccessfully to reestablish good facility and gp guidance to the runway. Distractions associated with attempts to reestablish facility and gp guidance led to getting low on the glide path and two subsequent 'glideslope' GPWS warnings. We corrected back to a proper visual glide path prior to 500' and continued a visual approach to an uneventful landing followed by a detailed debriefing of the event after arrival at the gate.

Title: B787 flight crew reported track and altitude deviations on the RNAV (RNP) Z approach to 35R at DEN associated with improper FMC programming.

Narrative: Starting prior to top-of-descent; we thoroughly briefed the RNAV (RNP) Z approach to RWY 35R at DEN using the Approach Briefing Guide and the pocket briefing card. Due in part to distractions associated with finishing the briefing; being cleared lower; and complying with ATC issued speed restrictions on the ANCHR4 RNAV arrival; we failed to verify that the sequence of waypoints on the legs page corresponded to the approach transition to RWY 35R beginning at DOGGG. Although we should have completely abandoned the RNAV approach and requested a visual approach from ATC; I hand-flew the magenta RF leg on the ND as the PM tried unsuccessfully to reestablish good FAC and GP guidance to the runway. Distractions associated with attempts to reestablish FAC and GP guidance led to getting low on the glide path and two subsequent 'glideslope' GPWS warnings. We corrected back to a proper visual glide path prior to 500' and continued a visual approach to an uneventful landing followed by a detailed debriefing of the event after arrival at the gate.
