Narrative:
As I approached my landing at the airport a crosswind developed. I had checked AWOS on my downwind which stated winds were calm. As the plane touched the pavement the wind blew the plane sideways. The landing gear broke and ripped the left wheel off the plane. The propeller then broke and control of the plane was lost. The plane collided with 2 runway lights causing them to fall. The plane came to a stop. My passenger and I departed the plane without injury.
