Narrative:

Started first takeoff roll, felt elevator was not effective, and aborted takeoff. Stopped and read that another pilot had flown plane earlier that day and I decided to fly around the pattern. Put in full nose up trim. Took off to fly around the pattern. Put in partial flaps, takeoff position, for landing due to concern about elevator effectiveness. Touched down too fast and ballooned back up. Didn't put in power for a go around due to concern about elevator effectiveness. Porpoised, landed very hard, bounced. Propeller was bent by bounced landing. Found out later that previous pilot had told FBO that 2/3 full nose trim was required for takeoff and full nose up trim for landing.
