Narrative:

We were operating through the bermuda control area under radar contact, when queried by bermuda control if we could cross moffy intersection (180 DME south of bda) at FL330. After a discussion on aircraft gross weight, winds and choppy conditions at FL290, we informed the controller that we could 'accept' FL330. Subsequently we received clearance to cross moffy at FL330 and we reported leaving FL290 for our new assigned altitude, leveling well north of bda. Overhead the bda VOR, I began completing the required naval logs and plotting charts. The captain alerted me to an inbound aircraft. As I looked up I saw an heavy transport at our 11 O'clock position, level at our altitude and less then 1/4 mi. Within 2-3 seconds this aircraft, on almost a reciprocal course xed our nose from left to right. At its closest point to us it must have been within 500' to 800', (judging on what the heavy transport looks like on the ground). About 3 seconds later we encountered its wake turbulence. I immediately asked bermuda if they were aware of this other aircraft. They informed me that is was a heavy transport en route to ny. We confirmed our previous clearance to FL330 and that they had received our call out of FL290. The heavy transport also confirmed that he was assigned FL330.

Title: CLOSE PROX ACR-WDB ACR-HVT 10 SOUTH OF BDA ON CROSSING AIRWAYS.

Narrative: WE WERE OPERATING THROUGH THE BERMUDA CTL AREA UNDER RADAR CONTACT, WHEN QUERIED BY BERMUDA CTL IF WE COULD CROSS MOFFY INTXN (180 DME S OF BDA) AT FL330. AFTER A DISCUSSION ON ACFT GROSS WEIGHT, WINDS AND CHOPPY CONDITIONS AT FL290, WE INFORMED THE CTLR THAT WE COULD 'ACCEPT' FL330. SUBSEQUENTLY WE RECEIVED CLRNC TO CROSS MOFFY AT FL330 AND WE RPTED LEAVING FL290 FOR OUR NEW ASSIGNED ALT, LEVELING WELL N OF BDA. OVERHEAD THE BDA VOR, I BEGAN COMPLETING THE REQUIRED NAVAL LOGS AND PLOTTING CHARTS. THE CAPT ALERTED ME TO AN INBND ACFT. AS I LOOKED UP I SAW AN HVT AT OUR 11 O'CLOCK POS, LEVEL AT OUR ALT AND LESS THEN 1/4 MI. WITHIN 2-3 SECS THIS ACFT, ON ALMOST A RECIPROCAL COURSE XED OUR NOSE FROM L TO R. AT ITS CLOSEST POINT TO US IT MUST HAVE BEEN WITHIN 500' TO 800', (JUDGING ON WHAT THE HVT LOOKS LIKE ON THE GND). ABOUT 3 SECS LATER WE ENCOUNTERED ITS WAKE TURB. I IMMEDIATELY ASKED BERMUDA IF THEY WERE AWARE OF THIS OTHER ACFT. THEY INFORMED ME THAT IS WAS A HVT ENRTE TO NY. WE CONFIRMED OUR PREVIOUS CLRNC TO FL330 AND THAT THEY HAD RECEIVED OUR CALL OUT OF FL290. THE HVT ALSO CONFIRMED THAT HE WAS ASSIGNED FL330.
