Narrative:
Circling parents home in anaheim hills, taking pictures. I made a steep turn west/O checking for traffic in the proposed direction of turn. After completing approximately 150 degree of turn, I rolled wings level as an small aircraft flew above me. I was very angry with myself for not checking for traffic, and I hope the other pilot was that too surprised by my turn. I will avoid this type of occurrence in the future by both scanning more effectively for traffic and having another person in the plane for the purpose of taking the picture while I do the flying.
