Narrative:
After we departed hks airport, we called departure control 3 times, but no response, then called the memphis center. They gave us a different frequency to call. We tried that and still no response, so called memphis center again and they gave us a clearance for IFR. We may have gone through the arsa west/O radio contact with jackson departure.

Title: CPR SMT DEPARTING JAN UNABLE TO CONTACT DEP CTL FOR CLRNC THROUGH ARSA, ESTABLISHES CONTACT WITH ZME FOR POPUP IFR CLRNC.
Narrative: AFTER WE DEPARTED HKS ARPT, WE CALLED DEP CTL 3 TIMES, BUT NO RESPONSE, THEN CALLED THE MEMPHIS CTR. THEY GAVE US A DIFFERENT FREQ TO CALL. WE TRIED THAT AND STILL NO RESPONSE, SO CALLED MEMPHIS CTR AGAIN AND THEY GAVE US A CLRNC FOR IFR. WE MAY HAVE GONE THROUGH THE ARSA W/O RADIO CONTACT WITH JACKSON DEP.
