Narrative:

On 9/90, I received notice from my supervisor, captain X that there was an alleged pilot deviation from over 11 days ago, sept. I had no comments on my log as to any unusual events concerning a taxi incident after landing. He had listened to the tape and could not see (hear) any violation. After trying to remember the particular flight, I remember landing on runway 26R in atlanta, GA, then taxiing to the midpoint of runway 26L and holding short. I then received clearance to cross runway 26L. After crossing runway 26L and being sure that I was clear (runway 26L was the current departure runway), I stopped the aircraft because I was unsure whether I had a clearance to proceed further. I then received additional clearance to taxi into ramp 3 (directly in front of my present position). There were no other aircraft in my immediate vicinity at that time; however, an light transport aircraft did approach my position on the outer taxiway headed westbound and an air carrier aircraft medium large transport was in the inner taxiway just departing ramp 2 headed eastbound. Ground control cleared me directly ahead into ramp west/O incident. There were no comments by anyone to anyone on the radio or telephone that there was any problem. The tower chief advised me this was not an FAA initiated action, but was soley initiated by the light transport. He reported to me that light transport contends they had to apply heavy braking to avoid a taxi incident. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information. Reporter stated that the light transport pilot filed a report with his company only because he stopped at the taxiway by the aircraft X position and since it looked fairly close he was fearful that a passenger might report something as out of the ordinary so the newly appointed chief pilot for the light transport company contacted the tower chief and had a report filed, all unknown to all the other pilots involved. The FAA said that they well drop charges of any violation.

Title: POTENTIAL GND CONFLICT BETWEEN TWO TAXIING ACFT.

Narrative: ON 9/90, I RECEIVED NOTICE FROM MY SUPVR, CAPT X THAT THERE WAS AN ALLEGED PLT DEV FROM OVER 11 DAYS AGO, SEPT. I HAD NO COMMENTS ON MY LOG AS TO ANY UNUSUAL EVENTS CONCERNING A TAXI INCIDENT AFTER LNDG. HE HAD LISTENED TO THE TAPE AND COULD NOT SEE (HEAR) ANY VIOLATION. AFTER TRYING TO REMEMBER THE PARTICULAR FLT, I REMEMBER LNDG ON RWY 26R IN ATLANTA, GA, THEN TAXIING TO THE MIDPOINT OF RWY 26L AND HOLDING SHORT. I THEN RECEIVED CLRNC TO CROSS RWY 26L. AFTER XING RWY 26L AND BEING SURE THAT I WAS CLR (RWY 26L WAS THE CURRENT DEP RWY), I STOPPED THE ACFT BECAUSE I WAS UNSURE WHETHER I HAD A CLRNC TO PROCEED FURTHER. I THEN RECEIVED ADDITIONAL CLRNC TO TAXI INTO RAMP 3 (DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF MY PRESENT POS). THERE WERE NO OTHER ACFT IN MY IMMEDIATE VICINITY AT THAT TIME; HOWEVER, AN LTT ACFT DID APCH MY POS ON THE OUTER TXWY HEADED WBND AND AN ACR ACFT MLG WAS IN THE INNER TXWY JUST DEPARTING RAMP 2 HEADED EBND. GND CTL CLRED ME DIRECTLY AHEAD INTO RAMP W/O INCIDENT. THERE WERE NO COMMENTS BY ANYONE TO ANYONE ON THE RADIO OR TELEPHONE THAT THERE WAS ANY PROB. THE TWR CHIEF ADVISED ME THIS WAS NOT AN FAA INITIATED ACTION, BUT WAS SOLEY INITIATED BY THE LTT. HE RPTED TO ME THAT LTT CONTENDS THEY HAD TO APPLY HVY BRAKING TO AVOID A TAXI INCIDENT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO. RPTR STATED THAT THE LTT PLT FILED A RPT WITH HIS COMPANY ONLY BECAUSE HE STOPPED AT THE TXWY BY THE ACFT X POS AND SINCE IT LOOKED FAIRLY CLOSE HE WAS FEARFUL THAT A PAX MIGHT RPT SOMETHING AS OUT OF THE ORDINARY SO THE NEWLY APPOINTED CHIEF PLT FOR THE LTT COMPANY CONTACTED THE TWR CHIEF AND HAD A RPT FILED, ALL UNKNOWN TO ALL THE OTHER PLTS INVOLVED. THE FAA SAID THAT THEY WELL DROP CHARGES OF ANY VIOLATION.
