Narrative:
During cockpit inspection; I noticed a RAT unlocked EICAS message. After maintenance was working to stow the turbine; it was brought to my attention that gate cameras showed it deploying 3 minutes after ACARS initiation. This leads me to believe that I inadvertently deployed it when I thought I was engaging the battery switch.
