Narrative:
Approaching roppr on the cowby 8 with the LNAV and VNAV engaged and the autopilot on; we encountered a wake turbulence event. The aircraft rolled right approximately 35-40 degrees and pitched up. After disengaging the autopilot and rolling wings level the aircraft had climbed to 7400 ft. We immediately notified ATC of the wake turbulence event. (Other carrier) was behind us and also had a rolling event.
