Narrative:
EICAS alert ads-B out right then ads-B out left and GPS data lost. Jamming likely due to proximity to syrian airspace. After 12 minutes; alerts went away and GPS data was restored. Location ninva [iraq-sryia] waypoint on UM860 to 15 nm before srt VOR [turkey]. GPS jamming hot topics in secure content locker provided sufficient guidance to understand and evaluate what action was necessary. After contacting operations; we were informed this had occurred the day prior to another aircraft. It would have been helpful to know that prior to this event. We would have read the before mentioned information prior to this airspace. We knew where to find it and I had read it before. I think something in the remarks of the flight plan for this route about the possibility of jamming and where to find guidance would help.
