Narrative:
We pushed back and started engine number 2. When the operation was completed and we started the single engine after start checklist we noticed that an EICAS message popped up stating pitot 2 inop. Speaking to maintenance control [I] was informed that this was an ongoing matter; they advised us to return to gate and obtain a new aircraft.
