Narrative:
Crew had flown 8+ hours first day of 3 day trip with sufficient crew rest. Second day, third leg switched equipment. First very advanced medium large transport type. Trip checklists all completed and crosschecked. Flaps selected and set. Cleared for takeoff. Captain advanced throttles. The warning horn sounded. Crew quickly checked trim, flaps, speed brake all normal. Rejected the takeoff at 60 KTS. On taxi off, first officer noticed flaps set at 1 degree vice 5 degrees for very advanced medium large transport. Advanced and normal takeoff is with flaps 1 degree. Crews swap aircraft types frequently. Need visibility aid on flap gauge on very advanced to highlight difference. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: reporter suggests slots that the flap handle will drop into for each desired setting. Also suggests that a callout on the checklist of what flap setting has been selected rather than just 'flaps, set.'
