Narrative:
Departed the eugene airport at approximately xx:30 pm. We flew in an e-se direction from eug. Our destination was creswell (hobby field) for night takeoff and landing practice proficiency. While en route, we decided to fly over our respective parent's houses. They live several blocks away from each other. We circled over each house several times before continuing to creswell. To the best of my knowledge, our altitude was approximately 1800' MSL to 1500' MSL. Field elevation at eug is 365'. According to the far's the altitude required over a congested is 1000' AGL. We were therefore legal by regulation. Our problem is that someone called the police about us flying over the neighborhoods of our parents. The police then notified the ATC facility at eug, and they notified us through our boss.

Narrative: DEPARTED THE EUGENE ARPT AT APPROX XX:30 PM. WE FLEW IN AN E-SE DIRECTION FROM EUG. OUR DEST WAS CRESWELL (HOBBY FIELD) FOR NIGHT TKOF AND LNDG PRACTICE PROFICIENCY. WHILE ENRTE, WE DECIDED TO FLY OVER OUR RESPECTIVE PARENT'S HOUSES. THEY LIVE SEVERAL BLOCKS AWAY FROM EACH OTHER. WE CIRCLED OVER EACH HOUSE SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE CONTINUING TO CRESWELL. TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE, OUR ALT WAS APPROX 1800' MSL TO 1500' MSL. FIELD ELEVATION AT EUG IS 365'. ACCORDING TO THE FAR'S THE ALT REQUIRED OVER A CONGESTED IS 1000' AGL. WE WERE THEREFORE LEGAL BY REG. OUR PROB IS THAT SOMEONE CALLED THE POLICE ABOUT US FLYING OVER THE NEIGHBORHOODS OF OUR PARENTS. THE POLICE THEN NOTIFIED THE ATC FAC AT EUG, AND THEY NOTIFIED US THROUGH OUR BOSS.
