Narrative:
Normal approach for landing on private grass strip just off route 50 approximately 1.5 NM west of mardeka. Unexpected gust when aircraft approximately 8-10' above ground. Nose dipped and nose wheel struck ground, collapsing nose gear. No injuries. Corrective action: unable to respond before nose wheel hit since just above ground.

Narrative: NORMAL APCH FOR LNDG ON PVT GRASS STRIP JUST OFF RTE 50 APPROX 1.5 NM W OF MARDEKA. UNEXPECTED GUST WHEN ACFT APPROX 8-10' ABOVE GND. NOSE DIPPED AND NOSE WHEEL STRUCK GND, COLLAPSING NOSE GEAR. NO INJURIES. CORRECTIVE ACTION: UNABLE TO RESPOND BEFORE NOSE WHEEL HIT SINCE JUST ABOVE GND.
