Narrative:
On 8/X/90, I landed with gear up (prior report filed). At that time, nose wheel sustained large gash inside. Believe all damage was repaired. Total time in aircraft since that incident was 9 hours. I had had no trouble landing. On 11/X/90, I was IFR to buf. WX was excellent control left me at 9000' till practically over buf. Had to loose altitude quickly. Children were crying, but still no problem. Buf approach gave me a choice of ILS 23 or visibility to 14. Chose 14. Winds at the time were 070 degrees at 4/hour. Came over #south at 90-100 KTS. Full flaps and good altitude. Flared and seemed to touch down ok, but aircraft immediately bounced. Tried to keep aircraft level. Continued to bounce. Had to add power. When finally stayed on ground, aircraft wanted to roll to right. Finally stopped at edge of runway. Shut down engine. Nose wheel leaning to 1 side and tips of propeller bent. I am uncertain if nose gear failed on T/D, causing the problem, of it was pilot error (flared too high or landed on nose wheel). I must have bounced 7-8 times prior to gaining control. Speed at T/D was probably 60-70 KTS. FBO told me bolt holding nose gear had sheared off. One of the people on runway said he had observed my approach and it had appeared normal.

Title: PLT OF SMA LNDG AT BUF BOUNCED SEVERAL TIMES. ACFT CAME TO REST WITH NOSE GEAR BROKEN.
Narrative: ON 8/X/90, I LANDED WITH GEAR UP (PRIOR RPT FILED). AT THAT TIME, NOSE WHEEL SUSTAINED LARGE GASH INSIDE. BELIEVE ALL DAMAGE WAS REPAIRED. TOTAL TIME IN ACFT SINCE THAT INCIDENT WAS 9 HRS. I HAD HAD NO TROUBLE LNDG. ON 11/X/90, I WAS IFR TO BUF. WX WAS EXCELLENT CTL LEFT ME AT 9000' TILL PRACTICALLY OVER BUF. HAD TO LOOSE ALT QUICKLY. CHILDREN WERE CRYING, BUT STILL NO PROB. BUF APCH GAVE ME A CHOICE OF ILS 23 OR VIS TO 14. CHOSE 14. WINDS AT THE TIME WERE 070 DEGS AT 4/HR. CAME OVER #S AT 90-100 KTS. FULL FLAPS AND GOOD ALT. FLARED AND SEEMED TO TOUCH DOWN OK, BUT ACFT IMMEDIATELY BOUNCED. TRIED TO KEEP ACFT LEVEL. CONTINUED TO BOUNCE. HAD TO ADD PWR. WHEN FINALLY STAYED ON GND, ACFT WANTED TO ROLL TO RIGHT. FINALLY STOPPED AT EDGE OF RWY. SHUT DOWN ENG. NOSE WHEEL LEANING TO 1 SIDE AND TIPS OF PROP BENT. I AM UNCERTAIN IF NOSE GEAR FAILED ON T/D, CAUSING THE PROB, OF IT WAS PLT ERROR (FLARED TOO HIGH OR LANDED ON NOSE WHEEL). I MUST HAVE BOUNCED 7-8 TIMES PRIOR TO GAINING CTL. SPD AT T/D WAS PROBABLY 60-70 KTS. FBO TOLD ME BOLT HOLDING NOSE GEAR HAD SHEARED OFF. ONE OF THE PEOPLE ON RWY SAID HE HAD OBSERVED MY APCH AND IT HAD APPEARED NORMAL.
