Narrative:
I approached the airport from the northwest where I was patrolling a pipeline and wanted to stop in cartersville for gas. I was at 500' and saw an small aircraft a on what might have been along high downwind. I tuned in 122.8 (which was wrong) and made a call to get traffic information. As I was low and close in I turned a base to final and landed. As I turned off the runway I saw an small aircraft B pass overhead about 300' that I hadn't seen. He landed a few mins later and told me I had cut him off on final. I had forgotten that the frequency at cartersville was 123.0 not 122.8. I felt real bad that I had not checked this before getting in the pattern, and that I did not see the small aircraft B on final.

Title: SMA CUTS OUT ACFT WHEN ENTERING UNCONTROLLED ARPT TRAFFIC PATTERN.
Narrative: I APCHED THE ARPT FROM THE NW WHERE I WAS PATROLLING A PIPELINE AND WANTED TO STOP IN CARTERSVILLE FOR GAS. I WAS AT 500' AND SAW AN SMA A ON WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN ALONG HIGH DOWNWIND. I TUNED IN 122.8 (WHICH WAS WRONG) AND MADE A CALL TO GET TFC INFO. AS I WAS LOW AND CLOSE IN I TURNED A BASE TO FINAL AND LANDED. AS I TURNED OFF THE RWY I SAW AN SMA B PASS OVERHEAD ABOUT 300' THAT I HADN'T SEEN. HE LANDED A FEW MINS LATER AND TOLD ME I HAD CUT HIM OFF ON FINAL. I HAD FORGOTTEN THAT THE FREQ AT CARTERSVILLE WAS 123.0 NOT 122.8. I FELT REAL BAD THAT I HAD NOT CHKED THIS BEFORE GETTING IN THE PATTERN, AND THAT I DID NOT SEE THE SMA B ON FINAL.
