Narrative:
While on the 27L parallel taxiway at approximately the twin intersection, the local controller asked if we were ready for takeoff. We were still waiting for weight and balance changes, so we were told to pull into the 27L pad. We pulled our aircraft into the pad and turned to face the approach end of 27L. At that time a widebody transport aircraft was on the 27L parallel at approximately the twig intersection. The local controller cleared him for takeoff and as he turned from the parallel onto the active he was already pwring up for departure. The jet blast hit our aircraft and pushed it back and to the left, approximately 7-8'. Our parking brake was set. This rearward motion was stopped by our addition of power. This report is submitted so that operations of heavy aircraft will be more aware of the dangers of jet blase on lighter aircraft.

Title: COMMUTER ACFT IN HOLDING PAD AT END OF RWY ENCOUNTERED JET BLAST FROM WDB TAXIING ONTO RWY FOR TKOF.
Narrative: WHILE ON THE 27L PARALLEL TXWY AT APPROX THE TWIN INTXN, THE LCL CTLR ASKED IF WE WERE READY FOR TKOF. WE WERE STILL WAITING FOR WT AND BAL CHANGES, SO WE WERE TOLD TO PULL INTO THE 27L PAD. WE PULLED OUR ACFT INTO THE PAD AND TURNED TO FACE THE APCH END OF 27L. AT THAT TIME A WDB ACFT WAS ON THE 27L PARALLEL AT APPROX THE TWIG INTXN. THE LCL CTLR CLRED HIM FOR TKOF AND AS HE TURNED FROM THE PARALLEL ONTO THE ACTIVE HE WAS ALREADY PWRING UP FOR DEP. THE JET BLAST HIT OUR ACFT AND PUSHED IT BACK AND TO THE LEFT, APPROX 7-8'. OUR PARKING BRAKE WAS SET. THIS REARWARD MOTION WAS STOPPED BY OUR ADDITION OF PWR. THIS RPT IS SUBMITTED SO THAT OPS OF HVY ACFT WILL BE MORE AWARE OF THE DANGERS OF JET BLASE ON LIGHTER ACFT.
