Narrative:
Lax ATIS said landing 24R and 25L and we were cleared for the civet arrival. About 20 mi from civet we were cleared 'civet, direct smo, cross civet at or above 14000', descend to and maintain 10000'.' I was programming the FMC for the new routing and ILS approach for 6R and clearing the old information out of the FMC when center asked if we got the 14000' over civet. When I looked we were descending out of 12000'. I asked center if they wanted us back to 14000' and they replied 'no, cleared to descend to 10000'.' I asked if there was a problem and they said there was not. We descended to 10000' and continued to lax west/O further problem. I had set 10000' in the altitude alerter and captain thought we were cleared to 10000' west/O restrictions. We descended out of 14000' about 8 mi prior to civet and crossed civet at about 11000'. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: 170610: very late night approach to lax. I was bending down to flight bag on floor ot pull alternate approach pages for change. Copilot took the clearance. Distracted by getting the pages. Missed revision to cross civet at or above 14000', descend to 10000'. Copilot was very busy as we changed plates.
