Narrative:
Received takeoff clearance ZZZ for runway 12. Upon taxiing onto the runway; lining up; and during completion of the before takeoff checklist; observed the #2 engine roll back and shut off. Notified ZZZ tower; canceled takeoff off clearance and requested to clear runway in order to conduct trouble shooting and notify company. Upon clearing runway conducted QRH steps and coordinated with maintenance; operations; and ZZZ ground. Restarted #2 engine and continued taxi; takeoff; and flight without further issue.

Title: MD-11 Captain reported a loss of engine power during taxi; resulting in a canceled takeoff and engine restart.
