Narrative:
Aircraft drifted 3.5 mi east of centerline of J6 arwy, causing loss of sep with another air carrier on J48, 7 mi east of J6. This is a constant problem, having 2 arwys 7 mi apart, with an accepted navigation tolerance of plus or minus 4 mi either side of centerline. The problem is exacerbated by the fact that these aircraft are being controled by 2 different controllers.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: ACR ACFT DRIFTED OFF CENTERLINE AND HAD LESS THAN STANDARD SEPARATION.
Narrative: ACFT DRIFTED 3.5 MI E OF CTRLINE OF J6 ARWY, CAUSING LOSS OF SEP WITH ANOTHER AIR CARRIER ON J48, 7 MI E OF J6. THIS IS A CONSTANT PROB, HAVING 2 ARWYS 7 MI APART, WITH AN ACCEPTED NAV TOLERANCE OF PLUS OR MINUS 4 MI EITHER SIDE OF CTRLINE. THE PROB IS EXACERBATED BY THE FACT THAT THESE ACFT ARE BEING CTLED BY 2 DIFFERENT CTLRS.
