Narrative:
Student should set parking brake instead of holding the brake with ft. Student landed on runway 26R and was told to hold short of runway 26L. Student held short but looked down for his after landing checklist and released pressure on the brake and accidentally taxied onto runway 26L when another airplane was departing. There was no accident. He was a student practicing solo.

Title: SPI AFTER LNDG WAS INSTRUCTED TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY BUT EXCURSIONED INTO RWY.
Narrative: STUDENT SHOULD SET PARKING BRAKE INSTEAD OF HOLDING THE BRAKE WITH FT. STUDENT LANDED ON RWY 26R AND WAS TOLD TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 26L. STUDENT HELD SHORT BUT LOOKED DOWN FOR HIS AFTER LNDG CHKLIST AND RELEASED PRESSURE ON THE BRAKE AND ACCIDENTALLY TAXIED ONTO RWY 26L WHEN ANOTHER AIRPLANE WAS DEPARTING. THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT. HE WAS A STUDENT PRACTICING SOLO.
