Narrative:

Rental aircraft was damaged in landing. Pilot landed on nose wheel and blew tire. Aircraft was taxied up to maintenance hangar and parked. Upon visibility inspection next day, damage was discovered to fire wall, cowl mount and aircraft front floor by mechanic. I was unaware of the amount of damage as a result of this incident, as it was hidden damage. The only visible damage was the blown tire, which doesn't have to be reported. In retrospect, the incident should have been reported immediately, which was not done due to the damage being hidden. There is confusion on what type of incidents need to be reported.
