Narrative:
I was conducting my second solo flight in a cessna 172. At the time of the landing; I wanted to exit [onto a] taxiway but my airspeed was still fast and; [when I applied] the brakes to turn to the right the aircraft drifted; and I ended up on the grass.I communicated with the tower and they asked me if I needed any assistance and to hold my position there. I shut down the airplane when ground service arrived.
