Narrative:

After we departed from mnm to cmx, we asked center for some report on WX in that area that we were going to. All the reports were 400-2 and up. No one was having any problems getting into cmx or imt, but mqt was holding people. As we were approaching the airport, we talked to cmx and they said the WX was 400-1. A little later they reported 200-1/2. We started the approach into cmx and missed at our DH 200', so we went out and did another approach into cmx. We went to DH again and missed. Center asked us what our intentions were. We told them we would like to go back to imt, which is about 75 mi away so they vectored us there. Before reaching imt, they gave us a WX report and said it was 200-1. We set up for the approach and were vectored to the marker. By then we still had plenty of fuel for grb, which we decided would be our alternate airport, but it would cut into our reserves. So we decided to shoot the approach into imt. At the marker we were getting an intermittent ILS signal. We did a missed approach and asked to be vectored immediately for another approach; we were getting tight on fuel. They vectored us around and we asked if anyone else had had any problems with the ILS. They said, 'no,' that an aircraft just landed in front of us and didn't report any problem. So we were vectored to the marker again and picked up the signal and started the approach into imt. We got about 1-2 mi from the airport and lost the ILS again. We did another missed approach and asked to be vectored to the closest airport (which was esc). We asked for the WX and they reported 200-1, and said no one was having a problem getting into there. We were vectored to esc for a straight-in approach to ILS 9. We told them we were fuel critical and would like to try to keep us #1 for the approach. They vectored us there and gave us times to the airport (to be helpful to us). Reaching the airport the WX was 200-1. We shot the approach and landed at esc. We had to go into our reserve fuel, but did have 35 mins of fuel remaining. I think a few things that should have been done differently are: 1) I would like to see more airports with all-WX stand-off attack system. 2) we should have gathered more information on the WX in cmx, and the imt area. 3) we should have only done 1 approach into cmx then went to grb, which we determined to use as our alternate. 4) I would like to see centers monitor the navaids at the airport and also monitor ILS's if they area OTS.

Title: FLT CREW OF ATX PASSENGER FLT MISSED 2 APCHS AT CMX, WENT TO IMT AND MISSED 2 APCHS, WENT TO ESC AND MADE A SUCCESSFUL APCH AND LNDG.

Narrative: AFTER WE DEPARTED FROM MNM TO CMX, WE ASKED CENTER FOR SOME RPT ON WX IN THAT AREA THAT WE WERE GOING TO. ALL THE RPTS WERE 400-2 AND UP. NO ONE WAS HAVING ANY PROBS GETTING INTO CMX OR IMT, BUT MQT WAS HOLDING PEOPLE. AS WE WERE APCHING THE ARPT, WE TALKED TO CMX AND THEY SAID THE WX WAS 400-1. A LITTLE LATER THEY RPTED 200-1/2. WE STARTED THE APCH INTO CMX AND MISSED AT OUR DH 200', SO WE WENT OUT AND DID ANOTHER APCH INTO CMX. WE WENT TO DH AGAIN AND MISSED. CENTER ASKED US WHAT OUR INTENTIONS WERE. WE TOLD THEM WE WOULD LIKE TO GO BACK TO IMT, WHICH IS ABOUT 75 MI AWAY SO THEY VECTORED US THERE. BEFORE REACHING IMT, THEY GAVE US A WX RPT AND SAID IT WAS 200-1. WE SET UP FOR THE APCH AND WERE VECTORED TO THE MARKER. BY THEN WE STILL HAD PLENTY OF FUEL FOR GRB, WHICH WE DECIDED WOULD BE OUR ALTERNATE ARPT, BUT IT WOULD CUT INTO OUR RESERVES. SO WE DECIDED TO SHOOT THE APCH INTO IMT. AT THE MARKER WE WERE GETTING AN INTERMITTENT ILS SIGNAL. WE DID A MISSED APCH AND ASKED TO BE VECTORED IMMEDIATELY FOR ANOTHER APCH; WE WERE GETTING TIGHT ON FUEL. THEY VECTORED US AROUND AND WE ASKED IF ANYONE ELSE HAD HAD ANY PROBS WITH THE ILS. THEY SAID, 'NO,' THAT AN ACFT JUST LANDED IN FRONT OF US AND DIDN'T RPT ANY PROB. SO WE WERE VECTORED TO THE MARKER AGAIN AND PICKED UP THE SIGNAL AND STARTED THE APCH INTO IMT. WE GOT ABOUT 1-2 MI FROM THE ARPT AND LOST THE ILS AGAIN. WE DID ANOTHER MISSED APCH AND ASKED TO BE VECTORED TO THE CLOSEST ARPT (WHICH WAS ESC). WE ASKED FOR THE WX AND THEY RPTED 200-1, AND SAID NO ONE WAS HAVING A PROB GETTING INTO THERE. WE WERE VECTORED TO ESC FOR A STRAIGHT-IN APCH TO ILS 9. WE TOLD THEM WE WERE FUEL CRITICAL AND WOULD LIKE TO TRY TO KEEP US #1 FOR THE APCH. THEY VECTORED US THERE AND GAVE US TIMES TO THE ARPT (TO BE HELPFUL TO US). REACHING THE ARPT THE WX WAS 200-1. WE SHOT THE APCH AND LANDED AT ESC. WE HAD TO GO INTO OUR RESERVE FUEL, BUT DID HAVE 35 MINS OF FUEL REMAINING. I THINK A FEW THINGS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE DIFFERENTLY ARE: 1) I WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE ARPTS WITH ALL-WX STAND-OFF ATTACK SYS. 2) WE SHOULD HAVE GATHERED MORE INFO ON THE WX IN CMX, AND THE IMT AREA. 3) WE SHOULD HAVE ONLY DONE 1 APCH INTO CMX THEN WENT TO GRB, WHICH WE DETERMINED TO USE AS OUR ALTERNATE. 4) I WOULD LIKE TO SEE CENTERS MONITOR THE NAVAIDS AT THE ARPT AND ALSO MONITOR ILS'S IF THEY AREA OTS.
