Narrative:
I was landing an small aircraft at addison airport in dallas, tx. The wind was 330 at 10 and using runway 33 for landing. During landing I flared. The main gear made contact with the runway. On the rollout I lowered the nose. When the nose wheel made contact the aircraft veered to the right. I could not get a response. The plane went into the grass and upon hitting a bump I raised the nose and lowered it down. At this point the nose wheel responded. I feel that the nose wheel was jammed and was knocked free when encountering the bump. There was no damage to persons or aircraft.
