Narrative:
Hyd 2 lo quantity message illuminated. Checked synoptic page and fluid decreased by 2% every couple minutes. 24% down to 0% in under 30 minutes. We decided to divert to ZZZ. As we made our turn we lost pressure in hyd 2 system and lost the system entirely. We ran checklists as appropriate which led us to a safe landing using the alternate gear extension handle. Dispatch; maintenance; flight attendant; ATC; and passengers were all notified of the situation using every resource possible.
