Narrative:
Boarding was complete and forward entry door had been closed. We were ready for pushback and the safety demo was playing. Flight attendant 2 and myself (flight attendant 4) noticed extremely strong fume smell entering the aft galley and cabin area. The fume event was burning our eyes and was even so strong we could taste it. On my account the taste was very metallic. We immediately called to inform the captain of what was going on.
