Narrative:

There is an important fdc NOTAM (#5631) that adds climb gradients to all runways in chicago for the mdw 5 departure. It is currently on page 7 of a 14 page packet under 'station information fdc notams.' being 'buried in the notams' is no excuse to miss this; but the chances of it being missed are high. This might deserve explanation as well. Crews seem to have a limited understanding of climb gradients and this one applies to 2900 feet in chicago. All directions; not just toward downtown. It is in the weather packet but deserves more attention perhaps the front cover of the weather packet or in a safety publication.
