Approximately 3 minutes after takeoff just after clean up received a hydraulic (hydraulic) B elec pump lo pr (low pressure) ECAM message. Performed ECAM actions; follow ups; [requested priority handling]; and returned to ZZZ. Extended vectors to land below max landing weight. Cleared runway; checked over by arff (aircraft rescue and fire fighting); taxied to gate. Additionally APU was inoperative. Hydraulic pump failure.cause is unknown it was a maintenance issue.
