Narrative:

During taxiout, read SID as cross 2.0 DME from oak at or below 4000', when it actually said 4.0 DME from oak at or below 2000'. Briefed copilot as such. During climb out, I exceeded the 2000' limit because of the misreading. Copilot said he did not inform me of the deviation because he thought I was a good pilot and therefore knew more than him. Copilot was then briefed to inform me of any deviation as I was human and make mistakes. This copilot had a history of poor performance and I should have expected this type of difficulty, but due to low time aircraft, was at or near my capacity in controling the situation.

Title: ATX JET FLT CREW EXECUTED THE OAK SID INCORRECTLY.

Narrative: DURING TAXIOUT, READ SID AS CROSS 2.0 DME FROM OAK AT OR BELOW 4000', WHEN IT ACTUALLY SAID 4.0 DME FROM OAK AT OR BELOW 2000'. BRIEFED COPLT AS SUCH. DURING CLBOUT, I EXCEEDED THE 2000' LIMIT BECAUSE OF THE MISREADING. COPLT SAID HE DID NOT INFORM ME OF THE DEVIATION BECAUSE HE THOUGHT I WAS A GOOD PLT AND THEREFORE KNEW MORE THAN HIM. COPLT WAS THEN BRIEFED TO INFORM ME OF ANY DEVIATION AS I WAS HUMAN AND MAKE MISTAKES. THIS COPLT HAD A HISTORY OF POOR PERFORMANCE AND I SHOULD HAVE EXPECTED THIS TYPE OF DIFFICULTY, BUT DUE TO LOW TIME ACFT, WAS AT OR NEAR MY CAPACITY IN CTLING THE SITUATION.
