Narrative:

I was making an approach to runway 12R at hou. My copilot was my new chief pilot for the operation I work for. Hou approach instructed us to contact hou tower at the marker. The G/south on runway 12R was out, making me concentrate on time and a possible circle to land 17. I thought my copilot called the tower, but he did not and it wasn't until we pulled off the runway we both realized we had not contacted the tower. I think the cause was flying with a new chief pilot and trying to comply with the many new policy changes our relatively new director has instituted. Many of these changes are contrary to my 30 yrs experience. At age 54, I find it difficult to change to new procedures, such as using the checklist as a 'do' list and not as a checklist.
