Narrative:

After departing runway 15 in bur, we were cleared 13000' and over on a right vectored turn to 340 degrees. Small transport traffic was reported in the turn 10 O'clock, 5 mi, 6500'. We were climbing approximately 4500' FPM through 6500' when the TCAS warning system announced, 'traffic, traffic.' we saw the yellow target on screen at 9-10 O'clock when at about 7000-7500'. The TCAS went to RA to 'reduce climb, reduce climb.' followed the RA and saw the small transport about 8500' and we were approximately 8100' when the small transport passed over. Bur departure never advised of the traffic after the first initial advisory. Apparently the traffic was at 8500', not 6500'.
