Narrative:
Air carrier X was at FL350 direct garden city. ATC told our aircraft to turn right 20 degrees. After completing the turn ATC told us to turn right another 30 degrees. As air carrier X was completing the turn, ATC told us to continue the turn and report traffic at 12 O'clock, 3 mi. I saw air carrier Y as the captain called it out. Air carrier Y passed safely in front of us, but it appeared at less than the required sep.
