Narrative:
The fuel pressure gauge (transducer inoperative) was intermittent. During a routine inspection of the aircraft by flight attendant it was determined the aft should not be operated until problem is corrected and the aircraft has been taken OTS. Prior to this I had flown the aircraft. Gauge did work, but I was the second last person to fly this aircraft and I'm not sure when the gauge went bad. This is the second time this gauge has gone defective.
