Narrative:
On gate in ord with MEL cvr out, maintenance issued second MEL #1 auxiliary pitot heat. Release amended to show second MEL. Second MEL is not legal with first MEL because second MEL restr flight recorder. Flight recorder. Cannot be restr with cvr out. This was caught before flight left the gate and flight was cancelled.

Narrative: ON GATE IN ORD WITH MEL CVR OUT, MAINT ISSUED SECOND MEL #1 AUX PITOT HEAT. RELEASE AMENDED TO SHOW SECOND MEL. SECOND MEL IS NOT LEGAL WITH FIRST MEL BECAUSE SECOND MEL RESTR FLT RECORDER. FLT RECORDER. CANNOT BE RESTR WITH CVR OUT. THIS WAS CAUGHT BEFORE FLT LEFT THE GATE AND FLT WAS CANCELLED.
