Narrative:

On a round trip flight between bedford, ma, and provincetown, ma, I flew over the owd air traffic area at 2900' MSL and over the NAS weymouth air traffic area at 2900' MSL. I chose this altitude to avoid the boston TCA (which I did avoid). Unfortunately, VFR rules say that the air traffic area goes to 3000' AGL, or about 3100' MSL in these locations, and I thus violated these atas on my route. As I almost always fly IFR when TCA proximity in involved, I misremembered (forgot) the air traffic area altitude (ceiling altitude). To avoid doing this in the future, I reviewed the VFR regulations and will call boston approach or the controling tower, as appropriate, in future.

Title: UNAUTH PENETRATION OF AIRSPACE.

Narrative: ON A ROUND TRIP FLT BTWN BEDFORD, MA, AND PROVINCETOWN, MA, I FLEW OVER THE OWD ATA AT 2900' MSL AND OVER THE NAS WEYMOUTH ATA AT 2900' MSL. I CHOSE THIS ALT TO AVOID THE BOSTON TCA (WHICH I DID AVOID). UNFORTUNATELY, VFR RULES SAY THAT THE ATA GOES TO 3000' AGL, OR ABOUT 3100' MSL IN THESE LOCATIONS, AND I THUS VIOLATED THESE ATAS ON MY RTE. AS I ALMOST ALWAYS FLY IFR WHEN TCA PROX IN INVOLVED, I MISREMEMBERED (FORGOT) THE ATA ALT (CEILING ALT). TO AVOID DOING THIS IN THE FUTURE, I REVIEWED THE VFR REGS AND WILL CALL BOSTON APCH OR THE CTLING TWR, AS APPROPRIATE, IN FUTURE.
