Narrative:
We were cleared into position for takeoff on runway 30L at xx:05Z. We were then given the clearance 'air carrier cleared for takeoff heading 340, aircraft landing runway 24 will hold short of your runway.' as we were near V1 the commuter aircraft on runway 24 xed our runway. I didn't have time to stop and knew we could get off the ground before the intersection. I rotated at vr and was off the ground before the intersection. The tower, after my 'it didn't look like he held short to me' comment, apologized and the rest of the flight was normal. Supplemental information from acn 182266. We obviously had enough speed and distance to clear the aircraft and continued takeoff normally. I have no idea by how much we cleared the other aircraft, but the situation could have had disastrous results if timing had been different or if we had attempted to abort.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: ACR CLRED FOR TKOF WITH LNDG ACFT ON INTERSECTING RWY TO HOLD SHORT. HE DIDN'T.
Narrative: WE WERE CLRED INTO POS FOR TKOF ON RWY 30L AT XX:05Z. WE WERE THEN GIVEN THE CLRNC 'ACR CLRED FOR TKOF HDG 340, ACFT LNDG RWY 24 WILL HOLD SHORT OF YOUR RWY.' AS WE WERE NEAR V1 THE COMMUTER ACFT ON RWY 24 XED OUR RWY. I DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO STOP AND KNEW WE COULD GET OFF THE GND BEFORE THE INTXN. I ROTATED AT VR AND WAS OFF THE GND BEFORE THE INTXN. THE TWR, AFTER MY 'IT DIDN'T LOOK LIKE HE HELD SHORT TO ME' COMMENT, APOLOGIZED AND THE REST OF THE FLT WAS NORMAL. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 182266. WE OBVIOUSLY HAD ENOUGH SPD AND DISTANCE TO CLR THE ACFT AND CONTINUED TKOF NORMALLY. I HAVE NO IDEA BY HOW MUCH WE CLRED THE OTHER ACFT, BUT THE SITUATION COULD HAVE HAD DISASTROUS RESULTS IF TIMING HAD BEEN DIFFERENT OR IF WE HAD ATTEMPTED TO ABORT.
