Narrative:
Air carrier X filed for and was cleared for the crowe 5 arrival at las vegas (SID enclosed) the arrival shows an expect altitude at aclam intersection of 110 and 250 KTS. I entered that data in the FMC and manually calculated a descent for the aclam restriction. We were given several step down altitudes from FL310. We were never advised the crossing restriction would be other than aclam. At approximately the pgs 290/20 at FL270, we were given 11000/250 KTS at the crowe intersection. We initiated a maximum rate descent crossing crowe at 12500 leveling at 11000 approximately on the ilas 255/37. I spoke with several of our company pilots and no one had ever been issued the aclam restriction. It has always been crowe at 110/250 KTS. If this is in fact true, the advisory note on the crowe arrival should be in conjunction with the crowe intersection, not the aclam intersection. I wonder if lax center or las approach are even aware of this advisory note?
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: ACR X NON ADHERENCE TO ATC CLRNC FAILED TO MAKE ALT XING RESTRICTION. PLTDEV. SITUATION: DIFFERENT XING RESTRICTION ISSUED THAN DEPICTED ON SID.
Narrative: ACR X FILED FOR AND WAS CLRED FOR THE CROWE 5 ARR AT LAS VEGAS (SID ENCLOSED) THE ARR SHOWS AN EXPECT ALT AT ACLAM INTXN OF 110 AND 250 KTS. I ENTERED THAT DATA IN THE FMC AND MANUALLY CALCULATED A DSCNT FOR THE ACLAM RESTRICTION. WE WERE GIVEN SEVERAL STEP DOWN ALTS FROM FL310. WE WERE NEVER ADVISED THE XING RESTRICTION WOULD BE OTHER THAN ACLAM. AT APPROX THE PGS 290/20 AT FL270, WE WERE GIVEN 11000/250 KTS AT THE CROWE INTXN. WE INITIATED A MAX RATE DSCNT XING CROWE AT 12500 LEVELING AT 11000 APPROX ON THE ILAS 255/37. I SPOKE WITH SEVERAL OF OUR COMPANY PLTS AND NO ONE HAD EVER BEEN ISSUED THE ACLAM RESTRICTION. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN CROWE AT 110/250 KTS. IF THIS IS IN FACT TRUE, THE ADVISORY NOTE ON THE CROWE ARR SHOULD BE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE CROWE INTXN, NOT THE ACLAM INTXN. I WONDER IF LAX CENTER OR LAS APCH ARE EVEN AWARE OF THIS ADVISORY NOTE?
