Narrative:

'ATC clearance' right turn heading 210 degree at 1000 ft right turn heading 300 degree maintain 2000' FL350 5 NM after departure departure control 124.5 squawk XXXX. At 50 ft AGL tower asked us to start our right turn now. (Heading 210 degree). During the turn single engine small aircraft observed to the left 1000 ft AGL (300 ft laterally). Tower did not provide traffic advisory. Follow up phone call to tower at destination airport. Tower chief not available. Person on phone stated he had knowledge of departure. Controller working flight thought we were going east. Tower had visibility sep between the two aircraft so no TA was issued. Tower did not feel there had been a problem. During captain's radio call about traffic and my follow up phone call I feel the attitude of the personnel was unprofessional.

PERSON ON PHONE STATED HE HAD KNOWLEDGE OF DEP. CTLR WORKING FLT THOUGHT WE WERE GOING E. TWR HAD VIS SEP BTWN THE TWO ACFT SO NO TA WAS ISSUED. TWR DID NOT FEEL THERE HAD BEEN A PROBLEM. DURING CAPT'S RADIO CALL ABOUT TFC AND MY FOLLOW UP PHONE CALL I FEEL THE ATTITUDE OF THE PERSONNEL WAS UNPROFESSIONAL.
