Narrative:
Air carrier X was in takeoff position on runway 31 at nashville (bna). Nashville tower was unaware that cpr Y was on the runway taxiing towards us. Nashville tower issued air carrier X takeoff clearance while cpr Y aircraft was only a few hundred ft in front of us taxiing towards us. I informed tower of the other aircraft. Cpr Y made a wrong turn off, and never communicated this to the ground or tower controller. The tower controller never bothered to look at us when he gave the takeoff clearance. Even in the light rain we would have been easily seen.
