Narrative:
I was receiving instruction on simulated single engine approach and lndgs. Downwind to base leg the gear was extended and confirmed with 3 green lights, also 20 degree flaps. Final at full flaps and confirmed with 3 green down and locked. My instructor took the airplane at 50 +/- ft AGL and landed normally. As airspeed dissipated the aircraft began to yaw to the right as if it had a flat tire. As we slowed, the right wing lowered and we veered off the runway into the grass median and stopped. We retarded throttles/mixture/fuel and all switches and exited the plane on the left side. The gear strut appears to have failed and punctured the skin on the wing and bent the propeller.

Title: ACFT EQUIP PROBLEM AS SMA TWIN'S GEAR COLLAPSES ON LNDG.
Narrative: I WAS RECEIVING INSTRUCTION ON SIMULATED SINGLE ENG APCH AND LNDGS. DOWNWIND TO BASE LEG THE GEAR WAS EXTENDED AND CONFIRMED WITH 3 GREEN LIGHTS, ALSO 20 DEG FLAPS. FINAL AT FULL FLAPS AND CONFIRMED WITH 3 GREEN DOWN AND LOCKED. MY INSTRUCTOR TOOK THE AIRPLANE AT 50 +/- FT AGL AND LANDED NORMALLY. AS AIRSPD DISSIPATED THE ACFT BEGAN TO YAW TO THE R AS IF IT HAD A FLAT TIRE. AS WE SLOWED, THE R WING LOWERED AND WE VEERED OFF THE RWY INTO THE GRASS MEDIAN AND STOPPED. WE RETARDED THROTTLES/MIXTURE/FUEL AND ALL SWITCHES AND EXITED THE PLANE ON THE L SIDE. THE GEAR STRUT APPEARS TO HAVE FAILED AND PUNCTURED THE SKIN ON THE WING AND BENT THE PROP.
