Narrative:
Told to hold short of runway 27 during landing 22L. Both of us forgot the hold short restriction until well into landing roll on runway 22L. I added full reverse and full braking and brought aircraft to stop on top of hold short lights. No conflict occurred, however, tower had anticipated one and requested landing traffic on runway 27 to hold short of runway 22L for us. Cause of this was crew fatigue brought on by having 8 hours reduced rest after working a 17 hour duty day the day before. Also, we only had 9 hours rest the night before. Companies like mine are developing a NASA 'can do' attitude toward taking increased risks regarding crew rest times. Lets hope that there isn't a challenger type disaster before this foolhardiness ends.
