Narrative:
I rented an small aircraft from an FBO at airlake airport, lakeville, mn. About 15 min into flight engine failed. Landed on interstate 35 west with traffic. Engine failed approximately 1000 ft AGL. Dead engine at 1000 ft, landed uneventfully. No damage to aircraft and no injuries to the 2 individuals aboard. No motorists were ever in danger. Traffic was light and all motorists saw the aircraft coming down. Suspect fuel contamination starvation.

Title: ENG OF RENTED ACFT FAILED AT 1000 AGL. SUCCESSFUL OFF ARPT LNDG ON HIGHWAY.
Narrative: I RENTED AN SMA FROM AN FBO AT AIRLAKE ARPT, LAKEVILLE, MN. ABOUT 15 MIN INTO FLT ENG FAILED. LANDED ON INTERSTATE 35 W WITH TFC. ENG FAILED APPROX 1000 FT AGL. DEAD ENG AT 1000 FT, LANDED UNEVENTFULLY. NO DAMAGE TO ACFT AND NO INJURIES TO THE 2 INDIVIDUALS ABOARD. NO MOTORISTS WERE EVER IN DANGER. TFC WAS LIGHT AND ALL MOTORISTS SAW THE ACFT COMING DOWN.
