Narrative:
I am reporting the incident (alleged) on jul/xx/91. I was asked by owner and operator to ferry an small transport from dallas to fxe after his purchase of said aircraft. I, along with owner and his co-owner, went to retrieve aircraft. He had mechanics in dallas inspect the aircraft. I personally witnessed a mechanic a and P say the aircraft airworthiness directives had been complied with and produced logbooks and paperwork to the fact before our departure to fxe. I, as a competent pilot, preflted aircraft and found it to be airworthy. The ferry permit was said to be sent to the owner's office. I also was led to believe a copy of the permit was on the aircraft or owner operator. I flew to pensacola whereupon officials wanted to inspect the aircraft. Owner could not produce the document as he was misled also. We immediately reinspected the aircraft by qualified persons and was issued the permit. I then completed the flight to fxe as planned successfully and safely. I am being violated for an incident that has truly mitigating circumstances and I am innocent of any violation. I was also told to not report within 10 days, as an aviation attorney was going to do it for me. I later found out this was not happening. I feel the owner operator misled me to believe a permit was acquired. The aircraft was airworthy as was proved and therefore I ask to be exonerated from any violation.
